I think "nasty" is an understatement there; you really portrayed the stickiness and grimness of the swamp really well there. The colours - sickly-greens and browns, with a dash of red - really convey the idea that the swamp is not exactly a healthy or safe place to be in. Making some of the tree branches look like abstract formless monsters just adds to that creepy feel you have going on here.

Wow... I like your way of drawing trees Here they look so "stalking"! (You made me search that word on the online spanish-english translator ) And the water is really good too. I love Nip's fur, I wanna hug him
I love the contrast between him (with the moonlight falling on him) and the rest of the swamp wich is very dark. All your drawings have an amazing color combination and this one is no exeption! I also like the way you draw fur,you make it look really soft
Nice Very swampy yet with a nice blend of fantasy the colours and spacing is thick yet spread with a chaotic evenness thats worth recognition in itself the fungi is really interesting and the abience of the whole thing is rock solid creepy swamp gold.
it pulls off what i think you were aiming for so nice work keep it up
Dude, this is crazy-awesome... I looked at it at full size and it's like insane. The amount of detail that you put into this is amazing and I love the touch of red in here amidst all the green-browns... the petals on Nip's little head-flower in particular jump out. Seriously cool.
Are you planning on writing a book or something with your characters? Because it sounds like there's quite a lot of thought put into this backstory.
The tentative plan is to make his story into a comic with a few arcs. I've got the basic premise down, but it's going to be a while until I have the time to turn this gigantic story into the fully rendered comic it deserves. I'm looking forward to that day, however!
Oooh you mean like a graphic novel? Because I think that would be sick. I know it would be a big undertaking indeed to do a comic series of any kind, but I'm pretty confident it would/will turn out great.
AND, now that you're down in this area, ComicCon would be the perfect place to promote it and all the rest of your original works. I know I'm thinking waaay ahead with that one but hey, it's not too unrealistic!
yeah! like a graphic novel of sorts. I'm not quite to the stage where I'd be planning out how it'd be drawn or anything, as I really need to get my life straightened out and some funds acquired first, haha. but yeah, I want to do this so badly! and comiccon would be a fantastic place to advertise in the future!
Absolutely! I can picture it in my head and I'm pretty sure it would be a success. And I understand about the life chaos haha... mine's been pretty upside-down lately too so it's hard to focus on getting anything done. But you'll def get there someday!
