Um... I don't think that there's a way to get rid of them entirely... but I would suggest:
-Take away the whole BG and replace it with a solid colour of the paper it's on (in this case, an off-yellow)
-You can try using the blur and smudge tool prehaps, but I'm not betting anything. You could always do it the manual way and just take it outta the pic one..... by.....one...... I have a pic in my gallery called "Born from the Light" I believe and it uses the same guidlines I suggested, only that I only took away the BG and not messed with the inside.
