A thin smile formed over his lips. “Unwilling to part with the extra coinage? Honestly, what a greedy little Kecleon you are.” A hand caught on her shoulder, though the position of the shoulder had shifted with the expanded size of her stomach. “Eating almost the entire cake. And you didn't even save a whole piece for me.”

She licked excess crumbs from her lips, trying to hide the evidence, though there was still smeared guilt all along her fingers and on her stomach.

The other hand reached out and caught her by the chin. “I believe we can come to some sort of agreement, Madam. But you have to agree to it beforehand. Or I walk. Poke, or the agreement.”
