The Well is the most notable landmark in Gambitville. It rests in the center of the town, and has for as long as anyone can remember. Actually... it was said that the well was there long before the town's establishment, as well - however many decades or centuries that was.
The well is made up of pieces of solid gold, with large, carved rubies adorning the eyes of the... what is it, exactly?
You'd think criminals and thieves would've vandalized this piece of the town by now - and you'd have been right... if they didn't all stop in the middle. Any attempts at destroying or altering or removing pieces from this well have been met with failure. Failure comes in many forms. Sometimes, intense headaches will befall the vandalizing-would-be, and other times, the potential-criminal will forget what they were doing right in the middle of the act.
For a while now, Pokemon of Gambitville have made mental notice of newcomers who enter saloons already with a splitting headache - they're usually suspected of having tried to steal from the well.
If you can get over the menacing appearance, however, it's pretty reliable as a source of water. Underneath run a deep system of underwater rivers and caves, nicknamed "the Styx," as Pokemon who fall into the well rarely return.
There's supposedly an old, abandoned boat down there, and has been for ages.
