So I'm not one of those people that like the first gen and hate everything else... but i do generally prefer the older stuff. In addition, I usually choose fire or water as my starter, so it came as a big surprise that the SECOND i saw Chespin he IMMEDIATELY became my favourite starter ever.
Seriously. Just look at that smile.
That pokemon is like, a tibetan monk or something.
Im going to chose chespin!i've wanted him since the game came out!BUT I DON'T HAVE A STINKING 3DS!!!!!!!!!THEY ALWAYS HALF TO MAKE GAMES FOR 3DS NOW!!!!!!!!!I ONLY HAVE A DSI XL!!!!!!!DO YOU KNOW HOW THAT FEELS?!?DO YOU!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!GGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Um they have to make new Pokemon Gens for the latest handhelds? And really considering how inexpensive 3DS' are compared to the Vita and all the benefits we're getting cause it's on the 3DS is worth it.
Poor Chespin hasn't exactly been met with a warm reception in the recent months...but, nonetheless, its whole "nut" premise is...unique. The lack of immediate popularity probably has something to do with its design...
Ahhh I love the face they put on Chespin, it looks like Dot from Animaniacs. XD Finally, we get a cute grass starter (besides Chikorita), instead of the usual P.O.'d expression they always get. Why are grass type starters always so angry?

Actually, the grass starters are not based on reptiles/amphibians. They're based on an evolutionary event. For example: The loss of limbs from Snivy to Serperior. So no, having a mammal isn't weird. I'm curious to see which stage in evolution they picked this time.
