I've gotten to the point where almost half of the PMD-e doujin is inked.  If you've been following my tumblr, you probably know that already.  I have the rest of the 42 (well, 44) pages sketched and am hoping to finish it within the week.

I have a couple of job things going for me right now so I can't really do any more commissions, so sorry about that!  I can do simple sketches, maybe, but it highly depends on my motivation for the subject you want.  I prefer Pokemon.

Anyway yeah!  I'm looking forward to completing the first chapter of the doujin.  It starts off covering how the Rogue guild formed.  Next book after that will be Merchants, and after that, Rescuers.

Aside from that... Event 4 is being pushed back two weeks.  I'll make the blog there sometime soon but I thought I'd announce it here first.  This wouldn't be the case except I suddenly decided to start making the doujin, so...

Anyway I hope that it will be pleasing to everyone when it's released.  I'll post a link to the site you can get it at when it's done.  I'll post the cover art to it at that time, as well.

We've only got two writing judges, and it feels unfair to have two of those and three for art.  One of our judges has been ill and therefore can't do it anymore, so I'm looking for someone who can, hopefully, do it each mission.  It's also fine if you can only help out for this one.

It's extremely important to me that you enjoy reading stories, as we have a lot of them to go through.  It is a lot of work, so don't even think about commenting if you're not certain you'll be able to make time for this.

I also don't want any "grammar nazis" applying, as that's not super important here.  Yes, it's important to at least be able to notice those things, but this isn't like signing up to help your English teacher or anything... the idea in the story is more important than if there was a single typo somewhere.  (I'm going to be eliminating any stories that are obviously poorly done at a first glance, as well, so don't worry about that).  

Anyway it would really help me out.  I don't have time to step in and act as a judge this time, it just doesn't exist in my schedule, so any help would be really appreciated.  Preferably, I should be able to see that you've done some writing of your own so I can see that you have a basis for helping out.

I've gotten a lot of notes lately, and I just can't respond to them all right now - I'm sorry.  I have something more like a real job going on now, on top of the PMD-e stuff and I just can't keep up with it all.  I can't do commissions right now for the reason (except those who have already paid, of course)...

For those of you who don't follow my twitter/tumblr, I got Lasik on Saturday, and also... our beloved old cat Granite had to be put to sleep yesterday.  He was 16, nearly 17.  That's been hard, as I've never dealt with pet death like this before.

For little button/pins.  And a good circle shape cutter.  I'm interested in both the tiny button makers, and the bigger ones.  I don't want something crappy that'll break; I want to make some buttons for Anime Detour!

Okay, I'm not doing a traditional painting right now, I'm actually trying to do a little animation thing to practice using Flash more.  We'll see how it goes.  Will draw a phoenix after I get tired of Flash.

It's probably always going to be a WIP because we're always adding new things.  I try to add information on the relevant things that people need to know about now, but it's hard because we're all busy and doing a lot.

If you happen to know I haven't filled out some page completely, feel free to add in info yourself that we'll edit later.  That's the point of a wiki!

Also, please do refrain from adding pages about individual teams.  Those will be awarded later to teams that we feel should have one.

I need some help.  For there's a rather small selection of prizes right now.  People who get first can get one of a list of Pokedolls, a sub to dA, a cheap game from Steam, or a little art of their team.

Anyway, as you can tell from the art I put off for Mission 2 winners, a lot of people opt for the art.  I don't blame anyone for that, because I know I value art more than a lot of things.  But!  It's a bit straining on me because I don't have any backup artists to help me draw out the prizes.  I'm already running on thin time for getting a ton of stuff done, so doing so many things for so many people is just difficult to deal with, you know?  Especially when blah blah basically I am trying to do a ton of stuff.

Anyway, so I think I won't be offering that anymore, or maybe only to the highest scoring of all the teams.  I just can't deal with an entire day wiped of any other productivity   It makes me sad, as I'd love to just churn out things for people all the time, but the reality is that I just can't...

And besides, it makes more sense for me to spend 100 dollars or more on prizes, then make back the money in 2-3 hours than to spend 8-9 hours drawing out art.  You know?

Anyway can you guys suggest some cheap prizes that aren't just crappy?  I'd prefer it not to be things like Pokemon in a Pokemon game, because that's kind of lame.  I like people actually having something that's at least worth a bit.

Okay!  Finished judging all of Mission 3, looks like that's all set to be done on time.  Stuff I need to get done before Monday includes:

And then I'm free to get back to commissions and normal illustrations!  I'd like to finish outstanding works I owe from the past couple months + 3 things I couldn't do in time for Rainfurrest because of not being able to make it there on Sunday, and I also need to mail out some art.  I'm sorry that there are so many unreplied to notes in my inbox... I tend not to read/reply to notes concerning work I need to do when I know I can't do it at the moment!  I'll be clearing those out when Mission 4 is done.

My monitor should be arriving after I wake up today, so I'll be able to stream stuff again without everyone seeing all my windows and stuff open.  The Mission 4 prologue will be on paper this time with some digital editing afterwards.  I do a ton of comics digitally, but hardly do I do any clean ones traditionally...

Work I need to get done next week includes: art for shikka, art for meli, and um, I forget, but I have a commission list I can refer to (I know there's one with like a glaceon or something...)

OH and I need to draw a ton of arts for people who placed first during Mission 2.  A lot more people asked for art that round, so I owe something like 5 teams some art... ahhh... (kinda wish they would've chosen prizes which didn't suck up time ;____; OH WELL )

Also I haven't been streaming lately because I was 1) at Rainfurrest and 2) my faithful second monitor died.  I had it for 5 1/2 years before it croaked... So I had to order a new one, and I'm waiting on that.  This means you'd get to see all the other garbage on my main monitor (Cintiq) if I was drawing, and I don't particularly want that!  Soo... you'll probably have to wait until tomorrow or the day after for more streams. Sorry!

I've also been finishing judging for PMD-E () for Mission 3, and wow, there's a lot of entries.

Marl woke me up today by going, "hey you got a DD," and then he showed me which piece and all I could say was, "what, why?" Haha... (I keep expecting that I'll never receive one again after the next!)



I'm very appreciative of this!  Hopefully it gets us some new members at !  Speaking of which, we're going strong.  Also we've realized there's some confusion for new members about the story and whatnot, so we're actually working on making a wiki for the group which categorizes each character and has a timeline for you to follow.  This way, you can just jump in whenever you want and just can give the wiki a brief glance to see what you've missed so you're all up to date.  Not that that's super important, but we do know that when people are confused about what's going on, they're less likely to want to participate!

Speaking of which, Mission 3 is coming to a close! A week left!  We do understand that school is starting for many people, so we're going to be taking that into consideration for the length of the next missions.  We've been giving 5 weeks each, but we might give 6ish for these next.  That just means no procrastination!  It's a good exercise to make a plan and stick to it, otherwise you create unnecessary stress for yourself.  That's just no good!  This is for fun and to make some neat stuff!  

Hmm, what else.  Oh yeah, the Mission 3 Epilogue is coming up.  The conclusion of who gets what dragon will be revealed as well as tying up some questions about what happens to whom during that mission.  It should be exciting!

Ah... what other news...

I'm back from this weekend at Mechacon.  Hanging out with ~nakira and ~shirotsuki along with their two friends who I don't know if they have dA.. well it was a blast!  I'd like to do more cons with them in the future.  Maybe this next time I'll be better prepared haha!  At the last moment some things came up and I didn't have nearly as much ready as I wanted.  Ah well!

Anyway it was great, I went as Silver the whole weekend and Naki went as N.  I pretty much used my twitter (papayakitty) nonstop to post doodles and crap I made over the weekend.  I think I'll use twitter to post doodles I make while I'm out of the house.

Anyway... I've suddenly developed a great interest in drawing the PMD guildleaders as humans.  So, expect a ton of human practice from me soon.  And PK gijinka.

Oh yeah!  And if anyone wants commissions, I am currently open.  Quick paintings of Pokemon are like 20-30 dollars as usual, anything bigger is more depending, etc etc.  So note me if you're interested and so forth!
