How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Points - what a strange trend

I'm not sure where people ever got the idea that points were useful for the most practical of reasons, but they aren't.  I don't mind them except when I get misguided people asking if I take commissions in points.  Usually people have the idea that 100-200 points is a lot.  But, stop to consider that each point is a little more than a cent... around 1.25 cents (in U.S. currency).  I normally charge like $25 for a simple Pokemon painting.  That would be 2000 dA points.  Imagine now that I just amass points...thousands of them... what am I going to do with these? I like to spend my money on:

-Bills (includes):
      -Vet bill
      -Rent
      -Student loans
      -Food
      -Cat stuff (food, litter, toys, treats)

-Pokemon plushies (when they get new ones at the Kiosk nearby)
-Anything emergency that pops up

Nothing I can get from dA is on this list, except once a year I buy a dA subscription both for the features and to support the site.

I do like giving them away to random people who give me points for some reason.  Sometimes I even get enough points that I can give out a cake or something.  I just don't want to earn points, I don't have a use for them!

IN OTHER NEWS, Papaya HG comic is almost wrapped up (and then comes a related ending thing), and Every Single Pokemon II is in its color stage now.  I'll probably work on that this week and get a couple hundred colored.

I think it's really funny when people trade points for llamas. I'm always like "lol okay" when I get those. Why would you waste money for a useless llama? I mean, it's not much money, but it's still money. Ugh, why did DA have to create the llama badges...

I want a Paypal account but my mom was saying that you have to be a certain age or whatever, so idk.

Haru Totetsu: True, but maybe taking a few dollars in points partial for a commission might be more reasonable. That way you get both dA points and real life money, so you'll be able to purchase stuff on dA and use them in good will towards your friends, and to commission people that aren't bothered either way. I know its childish but say your part of a group and the groups does a contest to pay for a years subscription to dA, not a bad offer because it saves you the trouble of having to pay it, but where will those points come from. They may not be practical in real life, but they've made the dA community more even grounded. At least thats what I think.
